Luckily we do not have that problem in Washington DC... YET (we have one guy who charges an enormous fee for his services, ONE, not hundreds) Would the author of this well written piece like to help contribute his experience in helping to preserve the industry in NYC help the burgeoning industry here in DC do the same by offering his advice to the newly minted Washington DC Pedicab Drivers Association? We are experiencing problems working in the National Mall similar to what you guys in NYC have had in Central Park and could benefit from Mr Zumans wisdom in the matter. We will be holding our first meeting on March 1st

The oil spill in the gulf is surely one of the most awful diasters of this century. While the destruction of the twin towers was limited to that relatively small space of ground zero, this oil spill stretches out across the sea, upon wildlife, many miles of the southern coast and also local industry. I honestly pray that this disaster is sorted out as soon as possible.
